Beasley Media Group Announces WCSX-FM Morning Personality Big Jim O’Brien of Big Jim’s house will join Motor City rock legend Alice Cooper to unveil Alice Cooper Court Thursday 23 Septemberrd at Eloise Asylum (30712 Michigan Avenue) in Westland, Michigan.

“Alice Cooper Court” is the third street name created by WCSX in honor of the rock icons of Motor City. Other landmarks in the Detroit area include “Bob Seger Boulevard” and “Glenn Frey Drive”.

The official ceremony begins at 2 p.m. ET, hosted by Jim O’Brien, and includes remarks from Alice Cooper who will attend the unveiling ahead of her concert at the DTE Energy Center on Saturday, September 25.e. It will also feature a live performance by Alice Cooper’s cover band, “The Nightmare”.

“From Glenn Frey Drive to Bob Seger Blvd, we celebrated great local musicians,” Big Jim said. “But NEVER has an artist and a place made more sense than Alice Cooper Court at Eloise Asylum. We can’t wait to celebrate Alice here in Motor City!”

“The Alice Cooper show features guillotines, live snakes and a straitjacket,” said Scott Jameson, vice president of national content and director of Detroit programming, Beasley Media Group. “So it’s fitting that we honor him with a landmark on the grounds of a century-old Sanatorium in the Detroit area. Some things write for themselves.”

To commemorate the grand opening, the Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is adding an official “Alice Cooper Court” street sign to its Legends of Rock exhibit, which features a new Alice Cooper exhibit that opened on September 23.rd. In addition to the road sign, fans can check out Alice’s original electric chair accessory and costumes worn on her iconic tours.

“Rock and roll is as much about the spectacle and the visual as it is about the sound. Laureate Alice Cooper has spawned a new generation of rock and roll with the two,” said Nwaka Onwusa, Chief Curator and Vice President of Curatorial Affairs, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “We are excited to add the official road sign to our exhibit as we celebrate Alice Cooper’s legacy with fans and share stories behind the music he created.”
