2022 Classic Rock Tour and Festival Preview

After a long year of 2020 almost entirely devoid of live music, 2021 has brought with it the return of concerts.

Many rules and restrictions were in place as artists and venues tried to move forward amid the ongoing COVID pandemic. Yet vaccination proof and crowd size restrictions were small prices to pay in the grand scheme of things, and as the bands started to tour again, music-hungry fans were finally able to re-watch their favorite acts. .

As 2022 arrives, more and more artists are returning to the stage – some for the first time since the start of the pandemic, others continue after a successful 2021.

Many of classic rock’s greatest artists already have plans for the New Year. Some, like Kiss and Elton John, will resume their respective farewell tours. Others – including Pearl Jam, Robert Plant, Aerosmith and Tool – will hit the road for the first time in years.

Then there’s the planned stadium tour with Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett. The all-star lineup was slated to run in 2020, before being postponed to 2021 and again to 2022. Now, assuming things go as planned, fans will finally be able to attend the tour in person as it travels around the city. in summer.

Festivals have also started to announce 2022 lineups, with many rock artists securing headlining seats. Guns N ‘Roses, Nine Inch Nails and Rage Against the Machine are just a few of the artists engaged in the festival (and good luck finding a festival that does not Foo Fighters feature).
