Status: The band was planning to sign a major label deal when tragedy struck in May 1997. Brainiac’s career was cut short when singer-guitarist Tim Taylor died in a car accident a few blocks from his Dayton home.

Status: Although guitarist Casey Calvert died in 2007 and drummer Eron Bucciarelli and lead guitarist Micah Carli left in 2014 and 2015 respectively, Hawthorne Heights remains active. Founding members, vocalist JT Woodruff and bassist Matt Ridenour, continue to keep the band on the road.
