If Neil Young is to be believed, this rock and roll thing is Probably here to stay.
nugs.net is the Leading platform when it comes to streaming live on-demand performances from your favorite artists. While the platform gained momentum in the band swap jam scene years ago, he took some serious steps to attract the catalogs of live recordings from some great artists: Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, Pearl Jam, Dawes, Blackberry Smoke, Tyler Childers, The Hold Steady, Wilco, and so many others.
The archive at nugs.net is vast, with a bit of something for everyone, in virtually every genre – from bluegrass to Americana to metal.
As an example of the breadth and depth of the catalog, I have selected seven modern classics worth exploring, from Santana to Metallica.
I encourage you to go explore it on your own – there really is something for everyone.

Santana
11/03 – 11/14/2021 – Residence House Of Blues – Las Vegas, NV
Few people put their soul into the guitar like Carlos Santana. Last November, Santana took the stage for an eight-night residency at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas. His legendary showmanship is on display throughout the run, with all the usual features: that warm and infectious guitar sound, that screaming psychedelic organ and his sideways guitar curves in Samba Pa Ti.
All eight shows are available for streaming via nugs.net.

Wilco
12/19/19 – Chicago Theater – Chicago, IL
On a cold winter night in the Windy City, Jeff Tweedy and his company packed the iconic Chicago Theater for a series of four homecoming shows, dubbed Winterlude. The Last Night of the Race, available to stream via nugs.net, is proof that Wilco’s hometown is different. It hits the trifecta of what makes Wilco so great performing live: screaming guitar solos, a genre-mixing steel pedal guitar to songs like Via Chicago, and the unmistakably thoughtful alt-rock melancholy of Tweedy in staples like Handshake Drugs, Impossible Germany, Jesus, Etc.

Jimmy buffett
5/9/21 – Towne Park – Aspen, CO
Ailerons up to 8,000 feet.
If you know your Jimmy Buffett traditions, you know that humans are not just tied to geographic locations with beaches. In the 1970s, Buffett became good friends with Hunter S. Thompson and his motley team of local figures, frequenting Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado. Later, Hunter moved in with Buffett to Key West, just as Buffett’s fame exploded thanks to Margaritaville.
This show is the first time Buffett has performed in the mountain town of Colorado in 40 years, and clearly he’s completely amused to be back in his old playground. It’s great fun to hear him talk about his memories – not something Parrotheads typically get at a regular amphitheater show.
Metallica
11/16/21 – The Independent – San Francisco, California
Who doesn’t like surprises, especially when it comes to a show in a 500-seat hall? For their first show in nearly two years, Metallica put on a surprise show at The Independent in San Francisco. Admission: $ 20, cash.
Naturally, the bracelets on the spot went quickly: the concert sold out half an hour after being announced.
Musically, it’s a treat to hear a band that regularly sells arenas in such an intimate place. “Whiplash” kicks off the show, with a series of live-action Metallica classics like “Ride the lightning “,”Butterfly on fire “,”Fade to black”, “Master of Puppets ”, and the show up close,“Seek and destroy “.

The Allman brothers
09/18/05 – Red Rocks Amphitheater – Morrison, CO
Looking back, mid-August has been a wonderful year for the Allman Brothers Band. To jog your memory, the line-up consisted of Gregg Allman, Jaimoe, Butch Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quinones, Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Alchemy was fuel with so much talent on stage.
This late summer show from the Red Rocks was one of the best on the tour. The tones and interaction between the members are tight and lucid, with Warren Haynes on vocals with his legendary smoky voice.
As usual, the nearest Whipping Post is absolutely dirty.
Tyler childers
04/27/19 – Tuckfest – Charlotte, North Carolina
Please allow the crying steel guitars and the groaning violin to set the perfect mood.
If you’ve never experienced the rocky Americana thrill of a Tyler Childers show, you’re seriously missing out on a serious hoootenanny. His set at Charlotte’s Tuck Fest a few years ago is a rowdy showcase. Childers even stops in the middle of Lady May to stop a brawl in the audience.
Well done, Tyler, for telling Brad and Chad to stop.
Jason Isbell and Unit 400
03/01/20 – Mars Music Hall – Huntsville, AL
Each Jason Isabell show is a full spectrum of emotions: you laugh, you cry. You remember your loved ones, the mortality, the loneliness, the grief.
All in all, it’s a deeply cathartic experience – part a sanctuary for deep personal reflection, part rock ‘n roll fellowship.
This show in Huntsville captures that range of emotions, with iconic Isabella tunes that just feel right for the moment – “Alabama Pines,” the infamously haunting “Elephant,” “Decoration Day,” and “Goddamn Lonely Love” from his. Drive-By- Truckers years, and “Cover Me Up”.
