(LR) Styx and Patti LaBelle will be performing at the Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati soon.
Two legendary artists in very different genres will soon be in Cincinnati.
Progressive rock band Styx and R & B / Gospel / Pop queen Patti LaBelle will be heading to Pendleton’s Hard Rock Casino next month as the venue establishes its winter music calendar. Styx will take the stage on Saturday, November 6, while LaBelle will perform on Friday, November 26.
For nearly 50 years, Styx has been a staple of classic rock stations and movie soundtracks everywhere. The group spawned mega-hits like “Mr. Roboto”, “Too Much Time on My Hands” and “Renegade” and found new audiences through TV shows like This 70s show and Freaks and Geeks. Recently, Styx announced that he will team up with Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson for a residency in Las Vegas in January and February.
LaBelle has been dazzling audiences with her powerful voice since the 1960s. Moving with ease between Gospel, Pop, Rock, Soul, Dance and R&B, LaBelle rose to prominence in 1974 with “Lady Marmalade. She continued her success in music. 1980s with “New Attitude,” plus a duet with ex-Doobie Brother Michael McDonald “On My Own.” She has appeared in movies and series like A different world and american horror story, and built a culinary empire on its famous sweet potato pies.
