AquaDog will headline the massive Mayday STOL aviation event in Wayne on Saturday May 21
the aquadog brain is Adam Manoucheri, a veteran multi-instrumentalist from northeast Nebraska. As a guitar legend from Austin, Texas once told him, “Great players come out of really flat, boring places – we had nothing else to do, so we just train us! Starting on guitar at the age of 10, he immediately took to the instrument, but over the years he began to add piano and (with a few quick chats with frightened parents) drums.
AquaDog is ready to end a hiatus that has lasted nearly a decade – Adam Manoucheri takes the stage once again with his famous band as the headliner of the massive Mayday STOL aviation event in Wayne, NE which will run from May 19-22, 2022. The closing concert for this air racing event, featuring AquaDog, will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Adam Manoucheri and AquaDog are renowned for their musicality and integrity in music, with a nod to classic rock of the past while maintaining a new edge to the music. Adam enlisted a dream team of professional musicians for this special event: Mitch Towne on keyboards, Craig Balderston on bass and Randee Falter on drums, with Adam Manoucheri on guitar and vocals. While the AquaDog album featured Adam on all instruments, it will be a treat for listeners to hear AquaDog songs and selected covers performed with the help of these incredible musicians. This is the band’s first full show since the untimely death of friend and drummer George Marshall in 2013, and a rare treat for AquaDog fans everywhere.

IN REGARDS TO
Adam Manoucheri spearhead one of rock music’s most beloved bands – AquaDog. By age 13 he was making guest appearances with his brother Dave’s band, and in high school he was part of his new band, The Nine O’Clock Blues Band. Following the recording of their debut album, Time Frames, a departure from strict blues saw a name change to Manoucheri. As Manoucheri they released an album, The Blind Leading the Blind, which featured Adam taking on the additional role of bassist as well as drums on many of the tracks. They continued as Manoucheri until Dave left the state, after which they more or less disbanded. It was then that Adam reconnected with the band Loco, a northeast Nebraska staple in countless forms over the years. It was there that he was again in a band with his longtime friend and drummer George Marshall, and after Loco disbanded, the Trio Manoucheri was formed, with Adam (guitar/vocals), George (drums/ vocals) and Orv Morrow (bass/vocals). ).
The Trio existed until Marshall’s untimely death in the fall of 2013. Much like Zeppelin, etc., there was no “replacement” for George Marshall, and the Trio Manoucheri disbanded with his passing. Reuniting after the loss of his friend and bandmate, the unnamed project Adam was working on was coined AquaDog, in reference to an inside joke of an accidental twist of language from the songs “Black Dog” and “Aqualung.” .
